... that ends well. After my weekend disappointment with the 3940R I posted about here, I just picked up this impeccable 3940P, dated 2006. I'll post more detailed observations later, but the term that has come to mind is "neutron star": an extraordinary amount of dense horological matter packed into an elegantly small space. I think the 3940 represents the very best of Patek Philippe, and in platinum you're on top of the food chain. Since 2020 is a leap year you won't even have to wait to see this thoroughbred in action. Congratulations and many years of good health!
