A visit to the Junghans Museum in Schramberg, Black Forest. (Part 2)

We continue our tour through the Junghans Terrassenbau Museum, and take the stairs down to the next floor:

table clock with moon phase and 9 tube gongs, around 1890

High class Black Forest clocks, which differ from other model in terms of quality with think main plates, polished levers and solid pinions. Made by Winterhalder & Hofmeier , 19th century. They were mostly exported to customers in the US.

A speciality of the black forest clock makers were dulcimer clocks - an explanation of the construction and workings is given below

Elaborate automata

Triple music clock with Flutes, dulcimer and bells, around 1820.

Barrels for the triple music clock

I really like the architecture

Polygram changer, around 1890's. It seems like the predecessor to the juke box.
