A "steampunk" El Primero
Team,
Today, a city holiday, I got a good morning light to take some pics of my New Vintage 1969 El Primero black titanium.
This watch, along with a SS and gold versions, was released in 2009 to celebrate the 40 years of the El Primero movement.
It's powered by caliber 469 (that I presume is to mark the 69) and, the Ti version, is limited to 250 pieces.
Is a very light watch and, so far, I was not able to inflict any damage to the case.
I associate this watch with "steampunk" (check Wikipedia) because the dial is transparent, showing some innards of the movement and by the overall darkness of the case, strap and buckle.
Here comes the pictures:
A B&W version.
And how it shows on my wrist (pic of other day) with the original strap (that I didn't like)
A great weekend to all,
Nilo

Sold out. There is a place ... Anyhow, I'm not considering a gold one. Never had a precious metal watch and I don't plan to have one. Lets see what Zenith brings to us this year. Last year was very dry. Cheers, Nilo
A very interesting reference

I really do love the New Vintage 1969 line a lot - in some way, I find them more successful than their vintage antecedents, but this particular model has left me very ambivalent. My main reservation has to do with legibility of the transparent dial. What'...
Good question ...

The legibility is barely passable. On dayligth is fine but under low light conditions is far from being ok. The lume is weak and on my bedroom is very hard to read. I got it because I love the case design, I want to have a Ti cased Zenth and the price was...
