Girard Perregaux

A quick picture on the Girard Perregaux 1966 Tourbillon with Gold Bridge.

Girard Perregaux released some superb watches in the 1966 family, from the Haute Horlogerie line, to the more affordable range.

In the Haute Horlogerie, the 1966 Minute Repeater is certainly my favourite, if only they decided to make it in white metal... But the Tourbillon is Worth some attention and love.

To be honest, I am not fan on these tourbillons which make a " hole " in the dial, I much prefer the Tourbillons whose design is part of the dial, like the GP Tourbillons with three ( gold ) bridges, the UN Royal Blue Tourbillon, or the JLC Gyrotourbillon One, Two or Three.

But in the case of the 1966 Tourbillon, it works quite well, as a delicious exception it is. For one good reason, the splendid gold bridge!

Here is a quick shot I could take on the rose gold version, which is limited to 25 pièces:

While it also exists in white gold, limited to 5 pieces, which is a summit of understatement and elegance:

The proportions of the case are perfect for an elegant Watch: 40 mm big / 11 mm high.

Cold or warm, how do you like it?

Best,

Nicolas
