A few pics from Daniels' workshop>>>
Hi,
I visited George Daniels' workshop in August 1999 with a group of American horologists. George was to entertain us for most of the day, but backed out at the last minute. There was a vintage Bentley car rally, which took predidence.
To our great fortune, Roger Smith, George's assistant, made himself available for a good portion of the day.
Roger graduated from the BHI course in Manchester, England in 1989 and was awarded the Bronze Medal, which goes to the most regarded graduating student(s).
If there is any interest, I will write something more substantial regarding Roger, but for now I will show the few pics of this visit.
I should mention that Roger made his first tourbillon pocket watch, by following the direction/instruction of George Daniels' Watchmaking, at the age of 22!
Unfortunately, the camera I had on this trip would not take close up photos, but they are still interesting (I think).

Cheers,
Curtis
