Blancpain - A curious TR 900

A curious TR 900

I spent quite a lot of time viewing several TR 900 on the fora, and doing my homework before going on mine.

All the TR 900 I saw came with a sandblasted case and case back, except ...This one:

As every TR 900, a superb watch, with a nice dial and hands, and this original bezel.

The crown on this one is not the good one, indeed, but has the advantage to be big, instead of the one we use to see on the " normal " TR 900.

But in this case, the polished case takes a bit charm off the watch, don't you think?

It looks a bit more civilized, less toolwatch, more " common, maybe.

This is the only one I saw among the 20 I could admire on the net or in the flesh.

And yes, I prefer the sandblasted case. That's not that I don't love it, but I just prefer the " normal " Sandblasted case of the TR 900. A great watch, by the way... Suprising! Best, Nicolas

I agree, Brian. All the sharp edges are gone. A real shame really, as I'd prefer to see an original case with dings in the sandblasted finish than the lines (and history) destroyed. Still nice, though.

A Nato or this kind of strap. You may also give the watch to a strapmaker, and ask him to make a strap sewing it around the fixed bars... As for the watch in itself, can't agree more, Daos... The TR 900 is my absolute favourtie FF, along with the Pakistan...
