Like many dive watches in the 50's and 60's, many Blancpains were purely used for their intended purposes. They were not safe queens at all....a relatively cheap affordable tool watch. Very rarely does anyone ever come across a real NOS piece, hence collectors don't often get the opportunity to have any reference point to how they looked or felt when it first came fresh out of the factory. So it becomes a real treat when we get this opportunity to see up-close the finish and details of a NOS case as it left the factory.
