Gentlemen,
I?m about to purchase my first PP and I?m very impatient to join your exclusive club.
I?m hesitating between the 5022 and the 3919, although I think that the 5022 slightly has it. I want to wear it virtually every day.
For me, these watches were crafted to be worn and I am thinking that the 3919 would look perfect with a dinner jacket but not necessarily for (almost) everyday use. I do tend to wear a suit during the week, though. I suppose the 5022 is a rarer piece although I accept comments that the rarity factor shouldn't be a consideration on this type of purchase.
Any help on deciding between the two, to stop me dithering in the PP shop, or any advice in general would be gratefully appreciated.
Lastly, for those out there who have wives to convince on buying PPs, or even for those who don't, can we create a list of arguments that justify our passion? (I should point out that my wife has already been brainwashed!). The moment she 'converted' was when I showed her Alex?s article ?My Father?s Patek?. Thank you, Alex.
Here are just a few arguments, but feel free to add others.
1 Well, just read that. (Justin passes his wife a printed copy of Alex?s article ?My Father?s Patek?)
2 ?Just look at it on my wrist ? even if it was double the price it would be a bargain?
3 ?I deserve it.?
4 ?My PP will always be worth something, not that I?ll ever sell it, mind you!?
5 ?I know that it?s the price of a car, but I?d rather get the train with my PP !?
etc. etc.
Many thanks and a good evening to you all,
Justin
