Team,

This is an early produced Rainbow, based on my sources (modele dep. on the case back).

Interesting watch, as any El Primero.

Three pictures of my old Rainbow:

40mm of case, 100 meters of water resistance, typical unidirectional bezel.

Love the "encapsulate" hour marks and the little metal surrounding the sub dials.

The tritium lume, with nice patina and a very good dial and hands.

Detail: Notice the tachymeter marks on the rehaut. Nice touch.

B&W for a B&W watch.

I love these older Zeniths! This one is near perfect. As I've noted in previous posts, the date at 4:30 can ONLY be GOOD when Zenith does it or Blancpain does it. Don't ask me why. But 'tis a fact. This is a great daily wearer, under the radar, yet utterly classic, and we all know the movement is Z best! Love the dial too. I want this watch to wear daily, along with other excellent under the radar classics. Hearty approval! M
