JToddH shares an exclusive look at a Zenith event in Portland, celebrating a special edition Pilot watch that honors Brigadier General James B. Thayer. This post highlights Zenith's commitment to supporting the Oregon Military Museum and its tribute to American heroes. The event also featured a surprise performance by legendary rock musicians, adding a unique dimension to the brand's philanthropic efforts.

Zenith Watches hosted an exclusive event featuring a surprise performance from legendary members of KISS alongside rockers Alice Cooper, Robby Kreiger from the Doors and Danny Seraphine of Chicago on February 18 th at the Exchange Ballroom in Portland.

The evening supported the world-class Oregon Military Museum’s mission to honor the service, commitment, and history made by Oregon's service men and women. The Oregon Military Museum, currently under construction, was named after one of Oregon’s greatest war heroes, Brigadier General James B. Thayer.
Thayer’s famous son, Tommy Thayer of KISS, partnered with Zenith to make the museum a reality and honor his father’s commitment and service. During the evening, Zenith took the opportunity to present Brigadier General James B. Thayer, a longtime fan of the brand, with a limited edition Pilot Type 20 Extra Special in Rose Gold – one of two units produced in a limited run.
The second timepiece was placed in the evening’s luxury auction to support fundraising efforts. The Pilot Type 20 Extra Special in Rose Gold features a titanium case, brown alligator leather strap and engraved caseback paying tribute to the museum and one of Oregon’s most decorated war heroes.
In a surprising turn of events, Zenith announced the limited edition of 25 pieces, a capsule collection in Bronze with a portion of proceeds to benefit the museum. The Pilot Type 20 Extra Special in Bronze offers a vintage-feel with a titanium engraved caseback and calfskin leather strap.

Great story and photos. Love the watch. Cheers, John.
That is one seriously good looking watch too... I love that strap on the left at the bottom, does it come with both? Great to see such support by Zenith too for such a great cause. Cheers Andrew PS. Eric is looking well... Will he be at Basel again this year Todd?
It\'s been what, 2 or maybe even 3 weeks since the last one. Long overdue!!! ;-) (Seriously, though. Handsome watches but hard to keep them separate in your mind in the midst of all the OTHER limited editions)
very strong colour scheme - I like! Thanks for sharing, Magnus
