After all these intense days and nights devising, discussing and evaluating all the details of our 15th Anniverary Watch with the team, with friends, with the wonderful people at Zenith, after concluding the details, setting up the pitches for the teasers, preparing stories, images and timelines, trying with all invlived to solve last minute glitches, and finally, the great moment in Basel when we presented the watch together with the energetic and wonderful JCB...

.. now finally the watch is real and its here! As others have already mentioned, the package makes you expect your new lawn mower arrived (besides that I would have no use for such...)...

... inside earth-quake safe cushion material...

... on top, all nicely separated. Those thiefs who would open and take the Zenith boxes would be very, very dissappointed once they open their 'precious'...

... it was a white in white styrofoam box that contained all the goodies:

But then something unexpected happened: The watch in her fragile virginity... I could not open it! As if I would hurt her... no point. As if that first cut would put an end to this exciting, exhilarating and exahausting journey.

And there it stands, like to many unfortunate watches, particularly from this famous maison from Geneva, that does sell you a watch but rather makes you pay for guarding it for the next generation...

What happened the heck to me?

Cheers, and enjoy your pieces, you fantastic brotherhood!

I think I understand your feeling about ending the journey by cutting open the bag with the watch in it. Take a glass of good wine, take some time, let all the steps that led you to this point pass in front of your inner eye, and then, then take the scissors. And cherish what you have created! You have really earned it! Warmest regards, Martin

I thought you had already had it... just don't keep it like those Pateks wrapped in plastic! I suggest a nice glass of wine, sharp scissors and enjoy! Its been a great ride, Andrew

2 glasses of wine to fortify you with the scissors. Hell, three. And a big cheers for a job well done.

This is not the end of a journey but the beginning of an adventure. Enjoy the watch in great health. Bill
