Kelv_w shares his recent acquisition, a Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Boutique Edition, highlighting its exquisite hand-turned guilloché dial and superior wearability. His decision came after a careful comparison with a Lange Up/Down Wempe LE, underscoring the Traditionnelle's distinct appeal. This post offers a valuable look at a collector's thought process when choosing between high horology pieces, especially as the boutique edition faces discontinuation.

Just purchased a second VC last month when I was deciding on another watch. It was either the VC or the Lange Up Down Wempe LE, a hard choice but decided to go with VC as I preferred the guilloche dial, case shape and how well it wears. I love how the 18k gold dial is hand-turned which is a plus. Not too long after the purchase, I've only found out that the boutique edition is being discontinued.
I am still considering if I should get the Overseas 3 too but unsure if it wears too big on my small wrist.

Anyway, here are some photos below.

Apologies for the wrapping as it was taken at the boutique.

The boutique has been most generous with gifts

Here's my other VC purchased exactly a year ago. Still love it!

On not one, but two excellent VC watches. Especially on the Traditionelle with that beautiful boutique only dial

And much better than the Wempe Le. Huge congratulations!

You have got taste and style. Both are best choices in their model line, but I would include the grey dialed Traditionell in p also as a best pick. Congratulations on both very well chosen VCs!

I was also considering if the extra £2000 for a blue dial worth the asking price. It would be nice if something extra was being done to the Lange movement but it's just a different coloured dial.

I stopped by Vacheron to try on the Traditionnelle boutique edition. I think it may end up being my next watch. Pictures do not do that dial justice. Enjoy!
