Jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) shares an exclusive first look at the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Date Limited Edition 350, spotted at the Singapore boutique. This post captures the excitement around this blue-dialed timepiece, which quickly sold out, and initiates a discussion on its appeal and Vacheron Constantin's movement strategy.
It could be quite appealing... Best, Nicolas
I like the fact that it's watcher resistant. My biggest "but" is that the movement is not a manufactured one but a JLC. Best, Kari
agree to some extent my friend. I also don't like date windows that spoil the dial. This one is quite discreet though so I can live with that Agree with you without date will be ideal Cheers Robin
i believe VC will stick to its current course of switching all movements to in house over the next few years except to retain some of the models with lemania chronographs (such as the small Harmony chronograph for ladies). They started moving to in house movements many years ago and I believe his trend will continue into the Overseas line eventually Maybe we wait for the next iteration of the Overseas and VC may surprise us. :) Cheers Robin
Already many years ago, before the regime of Mr. Torres, one VC executive told me that own movements is their direction. Overseas is the Aquanaut of VC and thus, I believe that it's the last one to get an in-house movement. Let's see what VC will do with the automatic chronograph movement. I know that AP is already developing one. Best, Kari
Yep agree let\'s wait my friend Cheers Robin
