I’ve been wearing this all week. The big date on the Gen 2 is definitely nicer but this Gen 3 has its own virtues, like the in-house movement (which winds beautifully) and the quick release and micro adjustable bracelet. Some old pictures.

It was a limited run of 38 chronograph and time/date models for the reopening of the Zurich Boutique. A kindly Purist told me that when there is a limited run for a boutique, VC make the number consistent with the boutique’s address, in this case 38 Bahnhofstrasse Strasse. I saw a picture of this watch, with no explanation, in a Timezone report on SIHH in 2018 and then did some digging with the London boutique to find out what it was. The London boutique joked that they sold more of these watche
