This is a shout out to GWIS/Jon for giving me his thoughts & impressions on the Tudor Black Bay F1 Carbon 25, it’s much appreciated. I saw this 9 months ago and hoped to be able to acquire it while in Asia late last year. I visited 5 Tudor Boutiques and zero luck, thus began the search here in the US. I was able to negotiate a package with EWC ( Rolex Celebration & C25 ) and it arrived this week. I can tell already, it’s going to become a favorite.
I’m looking forward to wearing it at the Monaco F1 2027, if the Boss hasn’t commandeered it by then!

Super comfortable and crazy lite at less than 80 grams

About the Rolex Daytona Ref. 70330N

Tudor's foray into chronograph territory represents a calculated expansion of their sports watch portfolio, building upon the success of the Black Bay dive watch collection. The brand's chronograph offerings emerged as Tudor sought to establish itself in the competitive racing watch segment, traditionally dominated by their Rolex siblings. This particular execution showcases Tudor's ability to deliver Swiss chronograph complications at a more accessible price point while maintaining the robust build quality expected from the Wilsdorf empire.

The technical execution centers around a robust automatic chronograph movement, housed within a substantial steel case that balances wrist presence with everyday wearability. The panda dial configuration—white base with contrasting black subdials—offers excellent legibility and follows classical racing chronograph design principles. The tachymeter bezel provides the requisite motorsport functionality, while the overall proportions strike a balance between vintage-inspired aesthetics and contemporary sizing expectations.

Within Tudor's current lineup, chronograph models occupy a strategic position as gateway pieces for collectors seeking Swiss chronograph heritage without Daytona-level investment. The contemporary production status ensures reasonable availability, though Tudor's growing collector following has begun to influence secondary market dynamics. These pieces appeal particularly to enthusiasts who appreciate the brand's independent identity while benefiting from Rolex's manufacturing infrastructure and quality standards.
