Abu Alex's imaginative concept for a Swatch x Breguet Type XX collaboration sparks a lively debate among collectors, probing the delicate balance between brand accessibility and luxury exclusivity. This discussion explores the potential ramifications of such a partnership, drawing parallels to previous Swatch Group collaborations and their impact on brand perception and market value. It's a fascinating look into the strategic considerations that underpin high horology in the modern era.

Still a lot to milk the Speedy. Or even the Seamaster😁
A fake - even made by a brand with the license to make a plastic version of a Breguet XX - will never be the genuine article.
It appears that the 50 fathoms one did more for Blancpain marketing wise (including strengthening resale values) than anything BP managed in the last decade. So there’s that 😉
However, it would never come in this layout es the existing quartz movement has a different layout. Pretty sure that Nick is not going to produce a different one for this swatch iteration (alone) and then it might be to close to the original…
but I was NOT a fan Blancpain was not a big succes and it cheapens the brand please DO NOT make a huge mistake so DON'T make a 200 euro plastic Breguet
While I am not going to be buying it... but the does look might better than the Speedster and fifty fathom plastic versions I have seen around. Keep creating...may get picked up. Tomba
