Jad initiates a discussion questioning why the Rolex Yacht-Master with a blue dial and platinum bezel doesn't receive the same hype as other stainless steel blue dial watches. Jad highlights its sublime case, sunburst blue dial, red accents, perfect size, robust movement, and platinum bezel, suggesting its relative lack of hype might be due to its availability.

The price is so much more than a submariner and the bezel Is platinum and scratches easy. I forget but the claps is not the same a sub right? Personally I like this watch.
The blue Yacht Master is by far my favorite summer watch, may be besides the AP Diver Chrono in blue 😎👍🏻
... platinum is 4.0-4.5, the same as steel* and doesn't scratch particularly easily. The Y-M shares the same clasp (and depth rating!) as the Sub, but has a unique case that is - in Jocke's and my opinions - more comfortable. His photo essay is very revealing: www.watchwallpapers.com m (*Albeit a wide term, of course).
I was stupid enough to let it go in 2004 or 2005, bought another one in 2007! Best, Nicolas
Bezel scratches but not easily and the design makes it difficult to notice if there are any scratches, as for the clasp the new one is excellent together with integrated extension link as in the photos
This is how it looks with the summer outfit
