For collectors who typically shy away from sports watches, finding a Rolex that truly resonates can be a significant moment. sham1 shares his unexpected enchantment with a platinum Rolex Day-Date 36, a timepiece that challenged his preferences and left a lasting impression after a brief encounter in Brussels. His experience highlights the allure of a classic reference, even for those with a distinct taste for dress watches.

For someone not keen on sports watches and with a penchant for dress watches, it is quite something to actually come across a Rolex that I truly love and adore. While in Brussels for a few hours yesterday, I had the privilege of trying on this day date 36 in platinum which is perfect for my puny wrist and which has a dial colour to die for.  And I don't like dying for just anything!! smile

Surprisingly the watch despite being in platinum was not as heavy as I had expected and was a joy to wear especially with the comfortable President's bracelet. Then again, it was only on my wrist for 5 minutes!

I am now back in the UK but thoughts of the watch remain and I might be tempted to make another short trip there and treat myself to something I arguably do not deserve! smile

I have an agenda

It is to cull the number of watches I have so adding another one especially so early in the new year makes a mockery of the agenda!

Thanks Nico!

Excellent would be if I can keep to the agenda!
