.. Hello, everbody :
Some of you may have followed Baron's excellent post, and possibly
a bit my " City Strolling and 3 Choices" in 2 Parts..

So you have realized that there has been a decision process for me :
- My chips have fallen on to GMT- Master II 116710 , aka The Bruiser ( some call it Batman -?)

Initially the watch's arrival was scheduled for this week - but guess What ?
- On Friday already, one day later after my first seeing & touching the Demo, I got a nice call from my AD,
that due to a last - minute decline of another customer, I could have the new piece already
before the weekend. < br>
- Having said so, i visited the Store ( where- just 1 day before, I had tried and wrist- tested this
wanted specimen) and could receive my (first) GMT / black/blue !!

- Yipeee, what a nice surprise !!

Thus, I thought to share just some arriving shots, which of course will be redundant to some degree
to what I'd posted already, but maybe you like the somewhat better pics also a bit..

- Hence, may I humbly re- introduce to you my newest acquisition, the first in 2014 :
Hope you don't mind my urge , to again share this with you ( and in fact , very soon a friendly other
PuristP friend, will present his sample to you !! - Two within 1/2 a week, not bad, ehh ?)

As Baron (in extenso), and I from wrist- trying and decision making, already have covered and shown
this very nice GMT , without further ado: here some more initial pics at arrival and at home

Just unveiled.. With all the well known ingredients.. smile

So the GMT- Bruiser will join my other modern R- the Millgauss

Already at home.. Really a 'under the radar' ,but cool look

From the side, a nice site.. Not too much noise or 'blink'

wink">
Really a very cool look, not flashy, but self- confident.. wink

Makes a very nice shine.. On dark background, as well..

smile)">
Just a little final Collage.. All is well ! smile)

Hope I didn't bore you with a ' deja vu', and you liked it a little bit

I surely did, and will further do !!

smile smile My sincere Best for the week !

PS: stay tuned, our kind mod, Baron will soon follow up
with his first impressions, after his great review !

About the Rolex Rolex 116710 BLNR Ref. 116710

The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 116710BLNR, known by collectors as the "Batman," introduced a novel blue and black ceramic bezel to the GMT-Master II lineup. This was the first time Rolex combined two distinct colors on a single monobloc Cerachrom bezel, a significant technical achievement. The blue segment represents daylight hours, while the black segment denotes nighttime, aiding in tracking a second or third time zone.

This reference features a 40mm Oystersteel case, housing the automatic Caliber 3186 movement, which provides a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date display and is water-resistant to 100 meters. The black dial provides a contrasting backdrop for the Chromalight hour markers and hands.

Appealing to collectors interested in modern Rolex innovations and practical travel watches, the 116710BLNR quickly became a highly sought-after model. Its distinctive bezel color combination set it apart from previous GMT-Master II references and established a new aesthetic within the collection, preceding subsequent iterations with similar two-tone ceramic bezels.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am that you have taken the plunge with this wonderful GMT. You do not need to apologise for showing us this watch, nor for detailing your deliberations. I think this type of thinking and examination is exactly what collectors enjoy reading. I certainly do! Fantastic news for you, and wear it in great health. Best, Joe

.. again say, that it was your excellent, in length article here that confirmed my choice and had valuable info, to what I knew Funny and coincidental, that we both had the Milgauss as our up-to-this date modern Rolex, and that we both chose this very GMT / black-blue, :) - So there was a common path of thinking, although we both started from different angles, and we both took the plunge and decided for this one ! i am looking foward to readng your thoughts and further impressions and am pretty

.. mine was available 2 or 3 working days earlier; - after a longer time, some good ol' KoC (lucky- go- happy) approach. Call it luck, call it pure coincidence, we both will love that piece Looking forward to a special Double shot, preferably by The Master of Borat Technique, ( ) himself, please.. I'll take care of the drinks.. Champagne should be ok, I trust ! ( for the "Bruiser Twins" and the Grand Master.. - How is that ?? best, hs
