The ADs could save money on their lease space and electricity by moving to this model for their Rolex sales display. But instead of actually picking which model you want to buy like at the night market you would point to the picture in the AD's binder and they would tell you they don't know i
The only way this madness stops is if the watch buying public collectively gets its mind back and remembers that there is a world of steel sports watches out there (from UN Marine, to GP Laureato, to Hublot, to Chopard Mille Miglia, GO Evolution to JLC Master Controls, etc). And we are not even talking about AP, Panerai, etc. And also Not to mention Halios, Habring and a swag of other Only when people remember there are OTHER watches and sales actually slow down, will Rolex realise they lose βwr
For the day the economy turns and everyone starts flooding the market with all the watches they horded as investments ... Including the ADβs that have stock piles of sports models In the safe! Prices will tank and we will all be able to pickup pieces for decent prices!
If I buy DD, I will not need a DJ41 with a blue dial. Or, if I buy a Submariner WG, then why do I need a Submariner SS? ... Yes, and Rolex personally ceased to interest me. Somehow fell out of interest. More occupied by Blancpain (Fifty Fathoms), Omega (heritage models), JLC (more Reverso). There are plenty to choose from.
We know there is way too much money now in the world now.
