This article explores christianch's initial impressions and the community's diverse reactions to a watch that masterfully blends high luxury with Rolex's iconic chronograph design. His personal review highlights the watch's unique aesthetic and the enduring appeal of diamond-set Daytonas.
Dear All,
I am very excited to share the arrival of my Rolex Daytona 126589RBR "Barbie"!
I fell in love as soon as it was released last year. Called my trusted AD immediately, thinking it would arrive quickly... but no! Over 12 months of waiting. Apparently, Rolex delivers very few of theseโwhich makes finally having it even more special.
To me, this is nothing short of a masterpiece. Versatile? Understated? Well... ๐๐ Let's just say it's "subtly spectacular"! No pavรฉ dial or diamond-set lugs hereโRolex showed remarkable restraint, letting the mother-of-pearl dial and bezel diamonds do all the talking. The combination of white gold, those perfectly set diamonds, and the Oysterflex strap creates something truly magical. It's sporty yet supremely elegant.
But enough blah blahโhere are some photos taken moments after unboxing...
How do you like it? What do you think the nickname is? Team "Barbie" or Team "Iced Panda"? I'm curious where the community stands!
Thanks for watching! Christian

Feels like youโre buying a watch every other week ๐ Itโs interesting to see Rolex bringing back MoP and meteorite dials back. Now I just hope for another chance to get the latter. Enjoy!!
of course mine is no match to your eye of the tiger in terms of ๐ (and exclusivity) but I am super happy with it! a model with diamonds that sits a bit in between!
Big congratulations ๐พ
