Clueless_Collector's post beautifully illustrates the magic of a truly personalized luxury watch acquisition experience. His narrative goes beyond merely acquiring a highly coveted Rolex Daytona; it highlights the thoughtful planning and genuine relationship an authorized dealer can cultivate, transforming a transaction into an unforgettable celebration. This story serves as a valuable reminder of the enduring appeal of exceptional customer service in the world of haute horology.
It happened on Thursday when my AD sales lady, who had returned from her vacation told me she has some souvenirs from her hometown and ask if we can come over to pick it up.
Ok, we went today and like usual, chat about daily stuff and share vacation stories, photos and got the souvenir.
The display models are there and I saw this YG Daytona with Green dial…I did think for a bit, huh, they even have this on display…why bother and I didn’t ask to see or try it, as usual, as well since we know it’s not available anyways.
We drank some nice Perrier Lime and enjoy the chocolates and my son mentioned that’s a cool looking watch…and my sales asked if he wants to try it…although we said it’s ok, some other day but she went ahead to take it out.
She asked me to put on gloves since this is protocol so I happily obliged.
I have to agree the YG Green combination is really stunning in real, with touches of Red and just jokingly ask…hey, can we loan it for dinner tonight, blah blah …my wife even joined the conversation and we were laughing at it. The store manager came and said, of course and we can always polish it etc..
Out of a sudden I noticed my sales AD took a scissor and cut the tags 🏷…and said “Yes, if you want to pay for it, it’s yours!”
Can you imagine what is going on with my spinning head now? OMG…this is such a dream come true.
She even plan the whole appointment wearing yellow dress, green earrings and serving us Perrier Lime soda drinks.
She has been planning this so thoughtfully to celebrate this special day and hinting us.
What a day, what an amazing day. Feeling blessed 😇
