ZSHSZ's journey from 'watch fatigue' to an unexpected horological delight offers a compelling look into the modern luxury watch market. His experience highlights how cultivating strong relationships with an Authorized Dealer can lead to truly surprising acquisitions, even when a collector has stepped back from active pursuit. This post explores the unique circumstances surrounding his acquisition of the highly sought-after Rolex GMT-Master II 'Sprite' and the community's reaction to this rare event.

sure you've a wonderful gesture from the AD...it fits you well - huge congratulations to you. Best, mahesh.,
But would they have called you with this ‘gift’ if you hadn’t gone in looking for the Tudor…or did you tell them you’re coming? Because you’re timing is perfect 👍🏼 Also, I think they can order you an oyster bracelet (for purchase) if you like.
That’s an awesome acquisition!
Good you get lost watch fatigue. I request this week an AD for a BM Clifton Baumatic. Mad enough it is an official Rolex AD, albeit i have no intentions to buy one. My luck is always i get an opportunity when i do not know. I am a WIS so i am interesting in more brands than Rolex alone. For example IWC, that sparkle any cell into your body of pure joy. Enjoy your birthday, and there is more outside than Rolex alone.
And many congrats for overcoming your watch fatigue phase and acquiring this nice lefty which fits your wrist perfectly 👏☺️ All the best Thomas
Let us know how you feel about this really special Rolex! I am left handed too, but dont really like wearing my watches on the right hand. But it looks good on your right wrist indeed.
