In the luxury watch market, an unexpected call from an Authorized Dealer can be a pivotal moment for collectors. jp884 shares his experience of receiving a surprise delivery just before the holidays, highlighting the unique relationship dynamics between collectors and their ADs, especially in a challenging retail environment. His post offers a glimpse into the thrill of acquiring a highly sought-after Rolex and the evolving strategies collectors employ.

Well I thought I was done for the year and I really wanted to be. But yesterday I received a call from my AD saying they were holding a piece for me that they thought I would like. I really wasn’t expecting anything new as they have been pretty bare as of late. So when they called I couldn’t pass it up. They know I refuse to go downtown so my only stipulation is that they deliver my watches to me. And so last nights call lead to todays delivery. It seems from the recent posts that Rolex is releasing some pieces just in time for the holidays.

This will be a nice addition my everrose GMT when I want the watch to go incognito. I wish everyone a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year. If we have our health and family we have a lot to be thankful for.

I had to put it under my wife’s account. Because I already picked up the everrose from them and new rules is only one Rolex a year. But my rep is the best.

Very attractive Pepsi. The blue dial completes this model nicely.
