Bobbe's captivating photo essay from St. Anton am Arlberg offers a refreshing perspective on the Tudor Black Bay 58, showcasing its resilience and wearability in an active, snowy environment. This thread delves into the practical considerations of wearing mechanical watches during high-vibration activities like skiing, a topic often debated among collectors. Bobbe's real-world experience provides valuable insights for enthusiasts considering their next adventure watch.

I’m actually looking for a watch to ski with, though steel watches always seemed a tad heavy on the wrist so I was considering maybe a titanium or a ceramic cased watch, I also have some doubts about subjecting a mechanical watch to so much vibration. I’m very interested in your experience with a steel piece on your wrist, was it comfortable? Did you had any problems with the watch for skiing with it? Could you share your impressions?
Now that's GOTTA be cold !!
Thanks for the pictures. All the best, Jon
I was always scared of skiing with a watch due to vibrations but seems it’s not a problem, now I need to find a watch for skiing though…
Looking very good. Hope you have fun in the mountains, have a nice vacation!
