Subexplorer shares a heartwarming tradition of Three Kings Day, where children (and adults) receive gifts from the Reyes Magos. This post beautifully intertwines cultural celebration with the joy of a new acquisition, a Rolex Air-King, making it a memorable start to the new year for him.

Hello Friends! Happy Dia de Reyes! Three Kings Day!

Every 6th of January we celebrate those three Wise Men who followed a Bright Star which signaled them the place of the birth of Jesus more than two thousand years ago.

Every night of the 5th of January our children leave their shoes with a letter to the Reyes Magos asking for some present. Custom is that they also leave a water bowl and some grass harvested from our garden for their camels!

And in the morning of the 6th children awake earlier than usual and run to see what the Three Kings have left in their shoes and view with admiration that little water was left in the bowl and almost all grass is gone!

It is said that we adults keep the child we were in some little place within our hearts, so every year together with the shoes of my grandchildren I leave my own shoes.

It looks like I have behaved like a good boy this year, because The Wise Kings left me exactly what I wished!!

Have a beautiful Sunday my dear friends!
Cheers! Abel

A great way to start the new year is with a new Rolex. May you wear your Air-King in good health, wealth, and happiness. PS. As for the bracelet, if you want to remove modern Rolex bracelets I recommend the Bergeon 6825 Rolex bracelet tool. (This model is specifically for Rolex spring bars. There's another model which I have is used for Omega and other bracelets. They are not the same due to the tips used on the tool.) Bergeon 6825

... Many pictures show them in camels as well and here in my Country we usually think of them riding on camels as well. Have a nice Epiphany/Kings day my friend! Cheers! Abel.

commissioned by me from an English Iconographer/nun, after the style of a very old Romanian icon. Perhaps camels were unknown in that region and time. Here is a camel for you:

Not a Explorer nor a Submariner... But still a Rolex! Enjoy, my friend! Best Blomman
