I just started this theme on JLC and it seems only appropriate to start on Rolex. We associate our watches. We see in them something. Now, that is such a subjective process that the same watch can represent widely different thinking...so as a form of social experiment, which actor (actress) do you associate with your Rolex....explain why if you wish....but no need.

I will start with one of my Sea-Dwellers.....the Rail Dial......because its important to stay on the right lines.

the 1665....undeniably cool but at the same time with a certain physical presence. Marcellus Wallace......

About the Rolex great white Ref. 1665

The Rolex Reference 1665, known as the "Great White," is a specific iteration within its model family. This particular reference is distinct from the Reference 1680, which the collector notes as a separate model undergoing a makeover.

This example features a case described as being in good condition. The movement is a caliber 1570. The dial is a servicedial with Luminova, marked as a Tritium dial.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking specific variations within the Rolex lineup. The presence of a servicedial with Luminova, marked as Tritium, is a notable characteristic for those interested in dial variations.

ThatΒ΄s a good one dear Nicolas! I was a fan of Magnum P.I....

... and a fan of many Tom Selleck films later. He always keeps faithful to his old GMT in many of his films, as well as in real life till present! Cordial regards, Abel.
