Miles_151 observes a growing trend of salmon-colored dials in white metal watches, posing the question of whether Patek Philippe's success in this aesthetic has influenced other brands. His post highlights the increasing popularity of this once-exclusive combination.

My platinum salmon RO QP:
They are and remain beautiful, at least in most cases, but if now salmon becomes mainstream rather than being reserved for special occasions, I’m afraid it will soon lose its aura of exclusivity, and therefore part of its charm...We’ll see, I do hope brands will take it easy!😉
In my opinion Patek were one of if not the first to use Salmon and white metal on special very low production models and were very good at it. I have no doubt we will see more and more using this very popular combination but Patek are still the best at it. M.
And as you said it's nothing new. Rolex has used salmon dials for ages also. But it's nice to have more choices. Hopefully we see a little more expansion in the available colour palettes.
No-one has photographed or detailed a salmon dial watch as much as yourself, IMHO (in recent years!). When you add to the fact that it is a 5970P, and the white chrono hand, it is even more special. I have definitely seen a correlation in an increase in the number of salmon dials produced since you started sharing yours online!! And I don't think it is a coincidence. Cheers, Imran
I do know that Patek were inundated with requests for a 5970 Salmon following the London Exhibition which I am sure helped with their decision on the 5270p dial colour. M.
