Hello All,

Finally after close to 3 years, I was able to go to Geneva again to attend the dinner reception with fellow collectors, Patek management team and a visit of PP6.  Food and wine were great as always while meeting and interacting with fellow collectors was even better!  Seeing many eye candy was so much fun!  Information about the Patek’s development plans is always an important part of the annual gathering.  Naturally catching up with TS is an integral portion of the annual rituals.

Additionally, the sweetest moment part was the ability to pick up some overdue and new pieces which made the trip so worthwhile and exciting! 😊

The 5711 green giant did not disappoint, although it is kind of a controversial piece.  The color definitely behaves like a chameleon.  It can be quite dark and subtle indoors and comes alive in the sun.  I am now tempted to be double-wristed to have green on one wrist and blue on another.  Just need to do so in a safe environment.

The 5326G textured dial is just WOW, reminding me of classic German camera!  The charcoal “granular structure” worked like a charm. I fell in love with the picture when it was launched, and the real piece did not disappoint me! In fact, the pictures don’t do justice.  The Clous de Paris on the case adds an artistic angle to this piece and rounds its out perfectly.  The complications are also very functional. The platinum Winding rotor is the first of its kind on this caliber 31-260 PS QA LU FUS 24 HR and the new Travel Time mechanism can correct the date forward or backward. The time piece came with beige calf skin but I made it more fun with bright orange strap.

The 5205R olive green dial against a Rose case is also very lovely, although I must admit that it didn’t catch my attention at the first glance.  However, when I saw it again under the light, I just couldn’t take my eyes away from it! The vivid green pierces through, and the day, date, month apertures on the dial reminded me so much of my dad’s 1st Grand Complication love, 5207P.  So 5205R is a good start for a small league like me 😅 for the time being.

The 5990R needs no introduction as this heavy weight piece has a very nice heft indeed.  Wearing this piece to me can be considered a work out on the arm and a good way to make my statement with the boys 💪🏼 🤣   The blue dial speaks loudly and brightly bringing out the intensity of the rose gold.

I am still “fighting” for a piece from rare handcrafts and hope something will come through.  Wish me luck please!
