In a detailed review, w220 explores the Patek Philippe Ref. 5326G, highlighting its blend of practical complications and innovative design. This article delves into why this particular reference stands out among Patek Philippe's recent releases, offering an in-depth look at its features and the community's initial reactions. w220's analysis provides a valuable starting point for understanding the watch's place in modern horology.

The standout, for me, amongst the latest releases from Patek, is the ref. 5326.  This has to be the most practical watch they have released in quite some time; automatic winding with annual calendar and travel time.  The Travel Time function can be adjusted with the crown instead of pushers, and the date follows local time forwards as well as backwards. The beautiful microrotor movement tops it off.  Simply outstanding!

Personally the color of the dial is not for me, and will not be buying one until they come out with a version with cream colored dial, but the hands, numerals and case are beautiful.

Bravo Patek!  Such a great combination of functions that’s actually very useful in everyday life!

About the Patek Philippe Ref. 5326

The Patek Philippe reference 5326G-001 is a significant introduction combining an Annual Calendar with a Travel Time function, presented within the Calatrava collection. This reference stands out for its innovative integration of two highly practical complications, marking a notable evolution in Patek Philippe's approach to combining utility with classic design principles. It represents a sophisticated option for collectors seeking advanced functionality in a refined, everyday wearable timepiece, distinguishing it from simpler Calatrava models.

This timepiece features a white gold case, housing the self-winding caliber 31-260 PS QA LU FUS 24H. The movement provides an Annual Calendar, displaying the day, date, and month, alongside a Travel Time mechanism with local and home time indication and a day/night display for both time zones. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, offering a clear view of the dial and protecting the intricate mechanics.

The 5326G-001 appeals to collectors who value technical innovation and practical complications. Its combination of an Annual Calendar and Travel Time in a single watch offers a compelling proposition for frequent travelers or those who appreciate comprehensive timekeeping functions. The design maintains the understated elegance characteristic of the Calatrava line, making it a versatile addition to a collection.

Not sure if everyone saw this review on the watch but it explains how setting the date and time is simultaneous so when traveling do not need to worry that setting the travel time will need to set the calendar as well. See link:
