I wanted to share with the forum my personal and recent service experience with my Patek Nautilus.

I bought the watch a little more than a year ago and had been experiencing the date "sticking" and not turning over completely for some time. But due to the stories and experiences and complaints that I have read about Patek being to slow and having to wait to get your watch back from service I had been very hesitant to take it in to the AD.
I did not want to be without my watch for months since it is on of my favorite watches to wear daily.

I finally decided to take it in and the AD sent it in to Patek for inspection. Patek decided it was best to go ahead and give it a complete service and it would be covered under the warranty. Which is to be expected.

I got a call from my AD yesterday that it was back from service and ready for pick up. I rushed over the same day and put it back where it belongs...on my wrist!!

In all in took about 40 days total, so just over a month!! Which in my opinion is great and much faster than what I expected. I know it is not a complicated what and that a full service on a more complicated watch would probably had taken more time. But I am extremely happy my the service experience.

So back to having my beautiful Nautilus on my wrist!!

Best,
Javier

Great looking watch. After reading that this happened on a white dial 5711 in particular, I am left highly disappointed. It seems that despite having plenty of time and this being such a well known issue--Patek has not taken appropriate action to fix the problem. It is bad enough when an older stock 5711, 6167, or other model with the same movement with date feature has the well known sticky date problem. In this case the watch is the 5711 which came out way after the sticky date issue was well

good on PP for the fast turnaround :) And I'm very happy you are enjoying your Nautilus again :) I wonder what exactly is the cause for this sticky date thingy... Read it a few times. Hope PP can fix it permanently Cheers Robin

As far as the "Sticky Date" and what is the cause or the problem. There was no explanation from Patek on what they did to fix it. I asked and was told it would get a complete service to correct any issues. If they know, they are not saying. But as long as it is fixed...I am happy. Best, Javier
