Subexplorer's recent acquisition, the Panerai PAM 760 Radiomir Bronzo, offers a fascinating case study in accelerated patina development. His observations, made during a seaside vacation, highlight how environmental factors can dramatically influence the aesthetic evolution of bronze watches. This article explores Subexplorer's initial findings and integrates community insights on the unique characteristics of bronze timepieces.

… my new Pam 760.

I’m spending my vacations in a by the sea location since I received the watch about ten days ago.

Even if I never took it to the pool or sea the patina is evident including a bit of verdigris in the buckle.

Most probably just contact with my skin and air only provokes that fast change.

The patina in other bronze watches from Panerai and Tudor I own and keep in my own city and never been near the sea have developed a very little patina in years of owning.

But this bronzo Radiomir is a Champion of patina! Lol!

Best cordial regards
Abel
