Izhik seeks community feedback on a 44mm Oris pilot model featuring an in-house manual caliber with a 10-day power reserve, considering it for casual daily wear. His post explores the brand's appeal and the watch's size, drawing comparisons to his previous IWC Aquatimer and sparking a discussion on value, movement, and alternative choices like the Tudor North Flag.

for long time I was thinking an Oris...really for a casual daily wear...nothing rocketing...I like the brand as it has an interesting and it is located in Switzerland not exactly where you would expect to have horologic industry.
Today on the way back from work, saw a considerably discounted blue-dia;ed pilot model with an in-house manual caliber developed by Oris with a 10 days power reserve....
major issue though, 44mm diameter....I had already for several years an IWC Aquatimer with 44mm and it was wearing ok...
anyway, here two shots...any feedback will be appreciated...(sorry for having included a terrible mosquito bite from my recent stay in nature....🥵)

I think also for a brand that usually uses ETA and Sellita to come up with a first in-house caliber of 10 days PR, it's simply nice... would you elaborate more from yours side, apart of the date😃....a general opinion on the model??..merci, y

However, this Oris is quite an interesting proposition: 10 Days pr is something!

I do not know where you located in CH, but if you approach the Emmental, be careful...flying monsters there....horrible mosquitos, you don't see them, you don't hear them...you just feel it....and thanks for the comments on the Oris....I love the 10d, a technical achievement for sure, merci, y
