amanico's acquisition of an Omega Seamaster 14755 sparks an intriguing discussion about design parallels between vintage Omega and Jaeger-LeCoultre models. His detailed comparison of the Seamaster 300 and JLC Deep Sea Alarm cases and dials invites the community to ponder the historical links and potential shared design philosophies between these two esteemed manufactures.

WOW, your SM 300m is very good condition, the size is right, it think it can fit to my small wrist as well. agree with you entirely, the more i learn, the less i know! must keep learning!!! stefan
. . . and since I don't believe in coincidences (well, not most of the time, anyways!), I'll have to side with evidence. Amazed, Art
Glad to see great-grandfather Seamaster safely in your hands, Nicolas. Any luck contacting Aldo yet? Your observations on the Seamaster/Deep Sea case similarities seem spot on. Hard to chalk it up to coincidence. You should feel privileged to have both in your collection to make the observation to begin with Cheers, Alex This message has been edited by AAP on 2009-10-08 09:32:10
Yes, I've checked and Aldo's work is just amazing... Now, I have to check how I will do to give him the bezel, as I'm not living in Italy, and as I hate shipping items. But many thanks for your help, this watch, beautiful yet, will just be ...Sublime. As for the similarities...I was literally mesmerized to observe them on both of these watches. Will of course speak more about the SM 300 14755 on a review to come, but I can lready say that, to me, it is one of the nicest, sexiest Vintage Diving W
The funny thing is that I didn't consider it before I saw Graham's SM 300 " in vivo "... Learning is good! Best, and thanks for your nice words! Nicolas
I stayed speechless for a good moment, my friend. The DSA is indeed one of my fav Vintage Diver. Now, it has a very nice Sister! But I still have to work on this " coincidence / Evidence " matter. Best, my friend. Nicolas
