I know they are a fashion brand, but Kiton makes sunglasses just above this snack bracket and they really are of the highest quality. No cooler than a trusty pair of Ray-Bans though! But the quality is there and I suspect, or maybe hope for their sake Omega’s sunglasses will be top level. What if Rolex tried this though? I think it would be a sign of brand weakness. Would I buy one? No, as you can get glasses of Highest quality Level sunglass brands for that price. They maybe introduced the glasses to give them to you for free when buying a really expensive watch at an omega boutique, as they won‘t give price reductions 😂
...I love gadgets and collectibles (in fact, I use Patek glasses a lot!), but they have to be free. In my view, it would look nicer of Omega if they just offered them as a gift for their good clients, without showing a $1k price tag on the website😎

like others here, I just don't understand the need for them to come out with sunglasses, unless it was a gift to their VIP or better clients. In this price bracket, they have some heavy competition and from LOTS of research as I am a sunglass junky (like watches) I have found out that NO ONE does sunglasses better than Maui Jim at ANY price. It's part of a broader strategy to achieve two objectives... 1. Make Omega a lifestyle brand. Omega has been diversifying into pens, keychains, small leather goods, and leather bracelets. This is good, to leverage the brand. Tag Heuer had a line of eyewear which was actually quite unique in its day. 2. Bring a new segment of clients into the store.
