Nilomis shares his journey of acquiring an Omega De Ville Prestige ST 145.0050, a watch he admired for months before finally making it his own. His post highlights the allure of this dressy chronograph, often considered a sophisticated counterpart to the iconic Speedmaster, powered by the renowned Caliber 861 movement.

Exactly 3 months and 2 days ago, Gary shared with us his De Ville Chronograph, in this post:

On a reply to his post, I said that: "A similar one is being offered on our Sunday market".

Since this time, I'm seeing this watch on the Sunday market without even making an offer or asking for the price.

Last Sunday I decided to put the watch on my wrist and ...

Here is my De Ville - Prestige ST 145.0050.

The movement is, no more or less, then a caliber 861 a.k.a. "27 CHRO C12" in pristine conditions.

It's, IMHO, some sort of dressy "Moon watch" (same dial configuration etc.) and small enough to be uses with a suit.

Here is the "brother" of Gary's De Ville. Let's hope it stays with me for, at least, as many years as Greg's.

I believe that
, ultimately, got the Omega virus.

Cheers,

Nilo

Thank you ...

Blomman, Since you "captured" all plus some of the Memos of this galaxy .... Now serious. I love simple and well designed watches (LLD, Speedmasters etc.). This one has the required simplicity, manual wind and the legendary 861 movement and, of course, a small seconds that "moves". Add to that, check the lugs, a case design that I only know on more high end watches (Breguet type XX uses a similar lug design). Cheers, Nilo
