Jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) provides an exclusive look at the Montblanc Star Classique Singapore Special Edition, released to commemorate Singapore's 50th year of independence. This post not only showcases the limited-edition timepiece and its unique design elements, but also highlights Montblanc's commitment to the local community through its support of Pathlight School's Poor and Needy Fund. Robin's live pictures and commentary offer a personal perspective on this significant release and the brand's engagement in Singapore.

We in Singapore just celebrated our 50th year of independence. The Jubilee SG50 celebrations started last Fri and we had our National Day Parade on Sun 9 Aug.

There are not many watch brands that are doing an SG50 special edition watch for Singapore. JLC, Longines, Orient and Montblanc are amongst the few of them.

As a Singaporean and fan of Montblanc products, I am very happy that Montblanc crafted Limited Editions watch and pens to commemorate our jubilee year.

In addition, Montblanc Singapore is contributing some of the sales proceeds to Pathlight School's Poor and Needy Fund, which is a really cool gesture from Montblanc and is in line with Montblanc's push to support the arts globally.

On 6 Aug, Montblanc has also set up a Pop Up Store in Ngee Ann City Singapore to showcase some art work from Singaporeans (including children) to support the arts, to celebrate SG50 and to showcase their SG50 limited edition pens and the watch.

Here are some pics of the Pop up store and the SG50 Montblanc Star Classique watch, limited to 50 pieces (and numbered on the case back).
Do drop by the Pop Up store if you are in Singapore and wish to see this SG50 limited edition watch (and pens).

Cheers
Robin

The mother of pearl dial is too flat. I prefer the dial to have a bit more design. Thanks for the report Robin.

Not all brands will get their HQs to approve SG50 watches or any special editions for a particular country I also feel Montblanc does think Singapore is a special market to them and I am happy with that Hope you can see this watch someday in the metal Cheers Robin

Actually I feel the MOP dial has more depth in the metal. My photos don\'t do it justice. What I don\'t like so much is the sub dial being too close to the center. The MOP dial is gorgeous in the metal Cheers Robin

very nice gesture from Mont Blanc, both to release an LE for Singapores jubilee, and to support the Pathlight kids as well. As a Singaporean I am touched indeed. Watch doesn't look too shabby either!
