You loved the Orbis Terrarum unveiled last year? You will love the new version, unveiled this week at the SIHH. Some changes: - A new case, 43 mm big ( 41 mm for the 2015 version ), with beveled lugs. The proportinos are quite harmonious with a 11, 87 mm height. - Some new colors, going from orange

Some changes:

- A new case, 43 mm big ( 41 mm for the 2015 version ), with beveled lugs. The proportinos are quite harmonious with a 11, 87 mm height.

- Some new colors, going from orange to green ,showing the cold and warm points of the planet.

- Some luminous dots on the minutes ring... This is the only point I don't get, as the hands are not luminous. But will we see them in the definitive watch?

An anecdote: This one was internally called the " Jamaican ", due to its colors. Note that this nickname is not official.

I must say that I quite like it. I still don't know if I prefer this one over the 41 mm one. I find it funnier, more " living ".

What are your thoughts?

Best,

Nicolas

because I think the \'Jamaican\' looks irie. Ya man! All kidding aside; if it has got luminous dots, it might get luminous hands as well, don\'t you think? Otherwise it would be ridiculous. Though the blue version looks nice as well. Cooler. If you get my drift. Would love to see them both in the metal and compare them side by side.

it is a bit strange MB issue an updated version so soon. As always, some owners happy, some not. Will they be offering them side by side or replacing it? Anyway, I like the movement to look better in order to buy it, not using volume or standard movements from SW or ETA etc. I'm going after nicer decorative movement, hand polished, in house movements now that I'm left with final few to buy. Funny, nothing from Rolex or Patek in SIHH 2016, so quiet... Rgds Raymond

And I love the dots. They should definitely get some lume. But 41mm is A-OK with me. It would be interesting to try both on to decide. If I owned the first version, I would not be disappointed at all. After all, almost impossible to beat the original. But I also like these subtle changes, so to acquire one now, I probably would go for the 2016. Alas, another MB watch still calls louder to my heart ;-)

So, you will have to wait till March. Back to the Orbis Terrarum, my understanding is that both co exist. Best, Nicolas
