MING has created two new timepieces.  They both feature a GMT function.

Tastefully presented with a futuristic modern elegance, they're definitely appropriate for the business casual world.

This is MING's biggest launch to date both in units and in value.  They have two versions of this watch, and they will be making 1000 copies of each!  That's 2000 watches!  At 3'250 Swiss Francs each, that will equate to 6.5 Million Swiss Francs in revenue for MING!  Why would a small independent company like MING to underwrite such a large financial risk?  Perhaps it's because all of their products are constantly sold out and they have had so many customers on their wait-list that they realized they needed larger editions.  Also, being a small producer, it was difficult to get movements and cases in large quantities.  Even getting straps isn't an easy thing for a small producer.

I find the aesthetic design of this MING to be fantastic.  I'm not sure I'm going to be able to order one.  But I certainly enjoy MING watches very much.  The 27.01 being my favorite.  I reviewed a friend's MING 27.01 in the link below:

Above is the MING 22.01 Kyoto version with a green strap.

Above is the MING 22.01 Gilt version.  Not sure if this qualifies as a traditionally crafted gilt dial, but I do like modern interpretation of the design!

Which design do you like more?  I'm leaning towards the Kyoto version.  But maybe that's just because I want to visit Kyoto!  So I might be biased!

Go to the MING watch website to order them.  Here are the time slots below.  Historically, they've sold out quickly, sometimes in just a couple minutes.  So be quick and prompt!  Good luck!

I like the Kyoto as well....

Funnily enough, in that version, it somewhat reminds me of my all-time favorite sports watch - the AMVOX 1 . Thanks for the info, Filip
