Ming 22.01 GMT Kyoto
Here we have a GMT watch from the independent manufacturer Horologer Ming.
On a closer look, we can see that the text on the dial is really crisp and here we also see the Luminova that is applied to the inside of the crystal.
It is 38mm in diameter, sapphire glass on both sides, the case is made of grade 5 titanium.
An independently adjustable 24-hour hand and a 24-hour scale at the c omposite, three-part dial where the grey background provides a good contrast to the 24-hour hand.
On the sides, the titanium is brushed and a solid, easy-to-operate crown.
In the concave bezel, there is a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflection on both sides with a total thickness of 10.7mm.
A green barenia strap with the unique tuck buckle.
Where you tuck the end of the strap inside, which means that you don't see the end of the strap.
At the backside we see the Cal. 330.M2 – based on the Sellita SW330-2 with a power reserve of 50 hours.
It comes in black color and is assembled by Schwarz-Etienne in Switzerland.
The innermost part of the dial has a grained finish in grey and matching the green GMT hand.
There is some kind of stamp at the dial at 11:30 beside the 24 hour scale. I don't really know what it is, maybe something to prove authenticity?
I think this is a well-balanced model in a good size that fits really well on my 7.5" wrist.
There is a lot of Luminova on this one.
I could definitely go for that one. Ming sure has some nice offerings. Congratulations Jocke, wear it in good health.
It’s hard to deny it’s a great little package, super design. I’ve seen it in person a few times and I liked it.
Lovely photos of the watch, almost makes me want to wear mine again. The GMT hand should have some luminous material or at least a red tip IMHO, an overlooked necessity. Regards, MSB Ming Kyoto
Great post and picture as always, dear Jocke. Congrats to this cool looking watch.
The watch is really attractive!
The watch looks excellent. That is the brand I have not seen often in person.
