foversta's report from the MB&F presentation at the Hotel de la Paix offers a rare glimpse into the brand's early days, showcasing the innovative Horological Machines 2 and 3. This article highlights MB&F's unique approach to watchmaking, where founder Max Büsser orchestrates diverse talents to create coherent, groundbreaking timepieces. Readers gain insight into the design philosophy and initial reception of these iconic models, which continue to influence independent watchmaking.

During my journey in Geneva, it was not possible for me to miss the MB&F presentation at the Hotel de la Paix. I'm a huge fan of the different Machines because they bring something new in the landscape. Their originality can also be found in the way they are created. Max is a sort of conductor of horological orchestras which are not the same for each Machine. And the most surprising point is that at the end, even if each person involved in the project has a different background, culture, the Machine is coherent.

Our encounter at the Hotel de la Paix with Max and Steve gave me the opportunity to browse the whole collection, to discover 2 novelties. I will focus my pictorial report on the 2 new HM2 and on the HM3.

The HM2-CR Ceramic/Red Gold is a limited edition of 33 pieces. It's funny to see how a small change can transform a watch. Of course, due to the higher contrast between the ceramic and the pink gold, the HM2-CR is a more visible watch than the HM2-CTi. But there is a sort of harmony between these 2 materials which gives to the watch a very charming style. This one is my fav HM2. You need to see it "in metal" to appreciate the light effects on the case. A stunning watch. This message has been edi

I messed up with the name of the Hotel... So, after being at the Bristol instead of the Rue de la Paix, it was too late due to my other appointments. And when I see what you saw, I have deep regrets. The titanium or the ceramic for the HM2 is the nicest and the more opportune metal for this kind of watch. It achieves to give them a concept watch look. Terrific! I really have to try them on my chicken wrist, with these materials. And what to say about the HM3? I specially loved the forst pic of t

I am a big MB&F fan and I was like a kid in a candy store. Amazed by seeing so much of the horological machines. Kudos to max and the whole gang behind this amazing brand. My favorite being the titanium BTW.
