Samwan shares his excitement over acquiring a Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro-Rotor, opting for the silver dial after initially considering the black. His post emphasizes the watch's elegance and superb finishing, offering a personal perspective on this highly regarded independent timepiece.
I finally got my Laurent Ferrier Galet micro rotor too....a week after Horogasm got his in Singapore last week
My eyes were originally set on the white gold, black dial example but eventually I picked the silver dial version after I saw it in the flesh with a gray strap.
The watch is more elegant than I thought and the finishing is simply superb. In fact, the pictures here won't do it justice. Don't worry - I won't bore you with the mechanical details by pretending to be an expert on the 'double direct impulse' system that replaced the traditional lever escapement.
Without further ado:

I will be wearing it a lot....I promise.
Sam
wow, we can't get enough of this one. It a true strong actor of these high-end timepices, maybe my favorite in that upper stratum. Thanks for the pictures and huge congratz ;) Cheers, Mark
I wasn't too sure initially but over time, this piece grew on me. Appreciate your compliments. Sam
Samwan, I tried on a rose gold and white gold yesterday... I was surprised how much I liked them... even after swearing I wouldn't buy another independent! This one is tempting me... wear it good health. Best, OpC
The watch is very comfortable on the wrist and I particularly like the pear-shaped hands and the onion crown. You should seriously think about getting the other one... :) Sam
now I am assured I didnt make a mistake!! :) wei---the Lange speaker got magnets...it will turbo charge the double direct impulse system!! best, Horo
If I can match half your good taste mate :) Good point about the magnet that I totally overlook....fortunately it was only there for a few seconds when the picture was taken.... Best Sam
