I wanted to take the opportunity of this special thread to present it to you...
I feel sorry I could not take the pictures I wanted because my real camera has to stay in the bag for a while as some of you probably know... Let's hope I shall be able to carry it and use it soon again...
In the meantime and to come back to pleasant things, I discovered only relatively recently Laurent Ferrier. Of course I knew the brand before but for unknown reasons I did not really pay the attention it deserves until a good friend of mine acquires one and opens my eyes. That was few monthes ago only and since then it grew in me, it was like a fatal attraction !
The next question then was to decide which one to get, and I must admit it took me quite some time to decide since they are all so nice.
I finally selected 2 only in my shortlist with the Galet micro-rotor in either Classic or Square shape. But either or, it had to be with the classy satin-brushed finish dial, with these wonderful recognizible thin applied gold hour markers and "assegai shaped" hands.
I finally pulled the trigger on the little bit less conventional case and took the plunge for the Galet Square with beautiful deep blue dial.
The cushion case shape is both modern and classic and has a strong personality. Its shape enables the watch to sit ideally and comfortably on the wrist.
As for the movement, the finishing of the micro-rotor caliber FBN 229.01 is simply breathtaking ; the harmonious construction is a delight for the eyes and the technical performance is top notch.
