I was very happy with it as I considered ( and still consider ) it as an iconic chronograph. The only curious thing is th
sorry for your loss, hope you’ll fill the voids soon. Rgds Raymond
Hope it can be found and returned one day. I saw a pre-owned 1st gen recently, not long after holding a new 2nd gen on hand. Knowing that it may oppose to many purists' view, I consider 2nd gen has a dial with a better proportion (in terms of bezel to dial and main dial to subdials). Also the power reserve indicator in 2nd gen is useful for hand wound watches. But one thing is true: it is heavy! Can I hear about your views on 2nd gen? Regards, Henry
Look at this picture I took at the SIHH in 2012 when the 2d generation was unveiled: The dial of the '12 version looks big, almost empty, somehow. And the power reserve kills what made the Datograph THE Datograph, perfect proportions, a magic triangle, a DATE, with a chronoGRAPH. Not a POwereserveDAteGRAPH. But this is just my opinion, and for what it matters... Best, Nicolas
