i_am_Sam's entry into the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph club celebrates a significant horological acquisition, sharing personal impressions and detailed macro photography of this iconic chronograph. As I have recently seen some forum member here joined the Datograph club

And after years contemplating, I've finally made the move...

Thanks for the help from a friend here and Hororgasm who pushed me to purchase this spectacular piece

The first time I tried on the piece, I felt it was sitting too high on the wrist, but after being explained, I heard that Lange purposely made the caseback thicker so the case looks thinner.. And now it felt just right on the wrist

I'm sure all you guys knows more about this classic piece than I do, so here I just share some photos I took

I just love the balanced design of this dial, just perfectly balanced

And the movement... What more I can say about it.. Stunning!

On the wrist, is just perfect... The weight feels very nice... Feels more solid than the 5960P

And I've been playing with the Loupe System and the iPhone mount, here's some shots:

That is a superb piece from Lange. One of their best and most iconic work IMO.
