Friends, indeed the days and weeks have been rushing by;
no real winter here yet, although Xmas and year's end are near !

I just wanted to convey some Christmas Greetings and all the Best for the
Festive Season, preceding the soon to be New Year !

Additionally, I take the liberty to thank our helmsman and distinguished
moderator, Nicolas, who recently celebrated an important " round" b-day, not to mention his 90 k+ posts (!!). ..

Furthermore, my thanks to him for all the work and effort, put into the forum
here, and thus into our all platform : you make it such a lively place, for information,
for news, for enjoyable pics, but also for friendly communication & learning
and even for preps for GTGs and personal encounters.

It is his and many others input, posts, reviews, pictorials and opinions, which lets me,
and I am sure, many others, enjoy it here, and visit this community, time & again.

Therefore, finally just wanted to say Thank You for a great year, you have led us,
inspired many and encouraged often :

Here these my few humble pics, from JLC pieces in 2014 : I chose some Military Vintages,
Coming from the 40ies and still standing tall & pleasureful for me..

And to close the year's circle , I also chose my personal modern JLC of the year,
the ( Tribute) Geophysic 1958, a hommage piece , I have acquired and
enjoy as a watch, a very fine watch - clean and pure, chic and low-key, with a note of noble effortlessness.

Indeed, a fine watch - not more, not less..

I take the liberty to say Thank You to Nico, & thanks to so many here, I had the pleasure to
communicate with, mostly in the cyber domain, but luckily with several, also in the real.
It are also these encounters, which make the community more lively
and worth enjoying even more

Finally, with these few pics, in part in a little Geophysic Collage,
with some Xmas-related mood and " aura"- shots, fostering enjoying the lume face,
as small signs & symbol for the Xmas nights..

- Here first the JLC Vintages, to greet you:

And finally, along these lines of style,

About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Mariner Ref. E329

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Mariner E329 is a notable vintage reference from the late 1950s, often associated with the brand's 125th Anniversary (Jubilé) collection due to its contemporary release and shared design language. It represents a period when Jaeger-LeCoultre was expanding its robust and water-resistant timepieces, offering a blend of elegant design and practical functionality.

This model typically features a self-winding movement, often the Caliber K880 or K881, known for its reliability. The case is commonly stainless steel, with a diameter around 34-36mm, and often presents a distinctive C-shape profile. Dials are frequently white or silver, with applied hour markers and a date aperture, protected by a plexiglass crystal.

The E329 holds relevance for collectors seeking well-preserved examples of mid-century Jaeger-LeCoultre watches that combine a classic aesthetic with a robust movement. Its connection to the Jubilé era and its relatively consistent availability, albeit often with condition issues, make it a persistent pursuit for those looking for original, unmolested pieces.
