The watch I am preparing for tomorrow is a quite recent acquaintance for me, but very dear.

Why you ask?

This is a watch I have been hunting for several years.

The E 329 is not a 125 Jubilé collection watch (IMO), but very close related.

Presented in the same catalogue as the JubilĂ© collection, of course I NEED this watch!

They pop up here and there fairly often, but always with some problem...

Incorrect hands, re-painted dial, over poished case, price is not right...

Yea, you know how it is...

Then this one found its way to me, with help from a dear friend!

Which makes it even more joyful for me to wear!

Thank you, my friend!!!

smile

So, tommorrow I am planning to...

... wear this...!

This one is the closest to NOS I ever seen when it comes to the E 329!

So, what's your plan for tomorrow?

Best

About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Mariner Ref. E329

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Mariner E329 is a notable vintage reference from the late 1950s, often associated with the brand's 125th Anniversary (Jubilé) collection due to its contemporary release and shared design language. It represents a period when Jaeger-LeCoultre was expanding its robust and water-resistant timepieces, offering a blend of elegant design and practical functionality.

This model typically features a self-winding movement, often the Caliber K880 or K881, known for its reliability. The case is commonly stainless steel, with a diameter around 34-36mm, and often presents a distinctive C-shape profile. Dials are frequently white or silver, with applied hour markers and a date aperture, protected by a plexiglass crystal.

The E329 holds relevance for collectors seeking well-preserved examples of mid-century Jaeger-LeCoultre watches that combine a classic aesthetic with a robust movement. Its connection to the Jubilé era and its relatively consistent availability, albeit often with condition issues, make it a persistent pursuit for those looking for original, unmolested pieces.

Roulette date wheel

Thank you, yes the white on black stands out more! But on uneven dates the date window is white. Maybe I should only wear it on even dates...? ;) Best Blomman

I think it was introduced in 1957, so not really in the Jubilé collection.

But who cares? This date, the case and the dial are just superb. Totally Under appreciated. A Watch to discover, or to rediscover. Best, Nicolas.

My earliest doc is from 1958

If you have anything from 1957, please share! :) One interesting detail with this one is the case. In shape, a perfect C-shape case. But when you look at it you don't see the C the same way as many Omega C-shape cases... Best Blomman
