Nicolas (amanico) highlights the IWC Ingenieur Ref. 666 as a highly desirable reference for collectors seeking amagnetic timepieces, particularly the pure, dateless variant. He positions it as an essential companion to other iconic anti-magnetic watches like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic, Omega CK 2914, and Rolex Milgauss 1019, underscoring its historical significance and aesthetic appeal.

For the amagnetic hunters, this is one of the cult reference to get, especially without the date. Very pure, and digne of interest.

Hmm, this watch. It would be the ideal addition in a collection aside with the Geophysic, the CK 2914 and the Rolex Milgauss 1019!

Best,

Nicolas

Saw one of these years ago and didn’t buy it.

You’re reopening an old wound.

No Faraday cage?

I wonder how they achieved the amagnetic properties? It was long before silicon.

Normally yes, there should be one.

Not seen this one. Agree it is a special piece.

Yes Faraday cage.

At least, there is one on all examples I have seen. On the back it looks like a secondary, interior cover. Presumably it was just omitted from the pictures.
