Dear Friends!
We have some good news and some less good ones :
All the movements, dials, hands and crowns are ready to go!

But at the time of „marriage“ - encasing - of the movements into the cases to complete the watches, Hentschel found out some unfortunate situation: due tot he fact that a special multi coated lacquered dial has been made for our Anniversary watch (for having a nice enamel rendering and indeed it looks absolutely stunning), it is slightly higher than the standard Hentschel dial with galvanic coating and some adjustment to the case is needed for a perfect match of all components.
Hentschel had to send the cases back to their case manufacturer for making the necessary adjustment.
Only after getting the cases back they can start assembling and encasing all and then start the test cycle (in this test all the watches are adjusted to six positions for six weeks).
The result is a revised estimated delivery date mid June.
I assume you will be just as disappointed as we are but we don’t really have a choice and actually it is for getting a perfectly adjusted chronometer so we have to be happy that Hentschel is making no compromise on the test period.
After all it’s only few weeks more and we’ll be delighted to enjoy a superb exclusive H1 Chronometer for the 20th Anniversary of Watchprosite.
We’ll revert to you with further news in a few weeks for proceeding with the final phase 😊.
Thank you for your understanding.
Mike

... and you did not see the watch yet, I saw the prototype and it is really beautiful
By the way, case delays are happening elsewhere as well.
And good to know that Hentschel is doing a proper job in all terms
I am curious as to what is different with the 20th anniversary dial coating compared to their other dial? Is it thicker? Shinier? Just curious
