Amanico shares his experience encountering a captivating vintage Gubelin watch, highlighting its superb case dimensions and a dial that exudes warmth. His post captures the excitement of discovering a unique piece, despite the frustration of not being able to examine its manual movement due to a forgotten case opener. This piece underscores the allure of vintage collecting and the unexpected treasures it can reveal.

Then it would have been a total disaster (talking from experience ;-) Cheers Andrew
excuse to pass on my friend......LoL
When taking the battery out to charge it... I put the loaded battery, and took some pictures several days after... At the end of 6 pictures, a signal came: " Memory Card overloaded "... It was the internal card of the camera, which is selected by default. It took me one full minute ( which is pretty long ) to calm down and to get what happened. :) Best, Nicolas
handsome lugs Pure marvel aged to perfection Cheers D
i dont know what it is, but i'm so used to seeing military dials in pretty plain cases that despite the beautiful lugs they look odd together as if the lugs are earlier than the dial. i'm sure you know what i mean by this. 30's style lugs and 40's style dial despite the fact that i am sure they are original. i bet the movement is a cracker. lol :) G.
I am a sucker for this kind of combination... Another example: I would love to see this dial with more conventional lugs, too. I am totally biased. As for the movemenr, thanks for your support! :) :) :) Best, my frend. Nicolas.
